how did you create a usb bootable stick for XP? I know with 7 and 8, it's fairly easy and MS even makes a tool for it, but I remember having to do this back in the day for XP and it was always a pain in the butt. Lots of little steps to get everything there perfect or it wouldn't boot or would boot for a bit, then stop, etc.

I've never had a problem with only Dell's. How did you make the USB XP key, or don't answer the question I already asked.
