Could anyopne please help.

I have an LG D2342P-PN 3D Monitor, a Windows 7 desktop PC and an internal LG BH16NS40 3D Blu-Ray Player/Writer.

I Have an AMD Radeon HD 6410D Graphics Card but with only DVI output, no HDMI.

I know that I can (and do) play many games in 3D using TriDef and 2D DVD converted to 3D by TriDef no problem, when I either use DVI-DVI or DVI- HDMI.

I can also Play 3D Blu-Ray on the PS3 HDMI-HDMI to same monitor.

I can ONLY play Doom 3 BFG 3D when using the DVI-HDMI connection to the monitor, it will not work through TriDef, nor the DVI-DVI connection for some reason (but that is not a real issue).

HOWEVER

Whenever I try and play a 3D blu-ray throught the PC using Power DVD10 (irrespective of which lead (DVI-DVI or DVI-HDMI) I get the same message o the screen:

To Play this Blu-Ray 3D, you need a 3D display device - your 3D Blu-Ray player can not detect a 3D Display Device. (and will only allow me play 2D)

When I run Cyblerlink 3D advisor it states I fail, and the reason for fail is because it states my Monitor D342P is NOT a 3D device - when it clearly is!

Any ideas How I can get round this - I did install PowerDVD 13 trial to see if it was that, but that tells me the Trail version can not Play Blu-Ray 3D without Hardware Acceleration, whatever that means (I am not technically minded in anyway) and I do not wish to purchase the upgrade if that will not help.

The only other advice I have so far been given is to get an NVIDIA 3D Graphics card installed and not use the built in AMD - Sounds a bit of a drastic / expensive solution to me. Any other ideas or is that my only choice? I really want to use the PC for 3D Blu-Ray not the PS3.

I Hope I am replying properly - never usd a Forum before.

Thansk for such a prompt response.

When I use DVI-DVI I can not make any selection on My Monitor - it just works. (with TRiDef)

When I connect using DVI-HDMI then I can make a selection on the monitor and I can select any of Top/Bottom SBS or Interlaced or off. (and swith L <-> R)
But Irrespective of which Option I select it never stops the Power DVD saying no 3D display detected.

Interestingly enough when I use DVI-HDMI for TriDef I actually have to Select "off" for the TRiDef 3d to work Otherwise I seem to get the image interlaced 4 times, not 2 - which I can't quite twig. .

But I can not make any option within the actual AMD "engine" or PowerDVD software that I can find.

WOW! Amazing - they work brilliantly, better than anything on Yabazam 3D I think, really great 3D

I had to change my monitor setting to SBS for them, and I was using the DVI-HDMI lead to enable me to change the setting on the monitor, not sure if they would work on DVI-DVI or not, may try that, I know Yabazam worked through DVi-DVi.

But in answer to your question - wow yes they work, I actually dived out of the way of the baseball ball.
