been looking around and a lil confused about a safe vcore setting for my cpu.

some say 1.3 is the limit and I see see others say they theres set at 1.350?

I'm currently at 1.320 with temps between 68-71 across the 4 cores is that ok.

My cooler is a thermalright truspirit 120.

thx

if it were me, id try to keep the CPU voltage under 1.30v and temperatures, under 70C to prevent any possibility of degradation during 24/7 use.

temps are much higher in a stress test than when you are just using the computer for gaming, daily applications and etc. so as far as temps go, you look ok. as for voltage, while it may differ on your 3570k, my 3770k uses the same voltage as my stress tests when playing demanding games such as BF3 so, you may want to back it down just a little bit.

i cant say there's a best but, Prime95 tends to miss some instructions sets on CPUs which can lead to random crashes in games or other applications that take advantage of those instruction sets.

what i like to do is, run AIDA64's stress test for 20m-30m, if everything looks ok, i test with the programs i use everyday and 90% of the time when i use the PC. so for me, after AIDA's quick stress test, i proceed to play BF3 in a full 64 player server that's on a large and demanding map. if i can play without seeing issues or any WHEA-errors, i run my audio production applications and load up plugins that'll heavily utilize my RAM along with CPU.

a overkill stress test would be AIDA64's stress test with ONLY the "FPU Stress Test" checked. imo, if you pass that for 10-20m, you're good to go; make sure to watch your temperatures if you decide to run ONLY the FPU stress test as you're temps will skyrocket within seconds.
