Quick question guys which would be a better combo a Fx 8320 and Zotac Gtx 680 Amp(overclocked to its max) or a I5 4570 and a Msi Gtx 760 Gaming Overclocked to its max?The rig i'm building is for gaming at 1080p,all types of games.

Solution
they probably would come in at close to the same numbers. what's your monitor? because, a 1080p monitor with a 60Hz refresh rate will probably be maxed by both of those builds.

Are you kidding me?Gtx 680 amp from zotac will blow away MSI760OC.Get your facts right!

read all of what he wrote... he was asking if a FX8320+680 would be faster then a i5-3570k+760. they'll come in at close to the same numbers. the fx is a bit slower then the i5, but the gpu is faster. generally the gpu is most of the bottleneck, so whatever performance hit there is with the fx should be washed out by the 680. in some games one will be faster then the other. it will rock back and forth based on what titles and how well threaded they are. for example, if he's playing skyrim the i5 build will slaughter the fx build... same with WoW or Guild Wars 2 or even Rome 2... by the same case the FX will stomp the i5 in crysis 3 and Far Cry 3...

Wow tnx for the quick replies :D, anyways I was thinking if it would be better to sacrifice single threaded performance in lieu of more gpu grunt, Because from what I've read was that the Gtx 680 amp could be overclocked to be nearly on par with a gtx 770. But then again You could overclock a gtx 760 to near stock gtx 680 speeds and You'll be getting superior single threaded cpu performance with the i5 4570, Although Unfortunately no overclocking capacity. So which would be a better choice? About the games I play I don't really stuff like skyrim ( magic and swords setting isn't my thing lol) or play MMO's. I was hoping to play a lot of gta 5 when a pc version is released though. Forgive my english btw, English isn't my first language.
