Hey, I'm working on designing a budget gaming desktop. I mean very budget, totaling around $215 (no optical drive, monitor, keyboard, mouse, wireless card, or OS; with used parts). Not planning on actually building this (at least right now), because I game on laptops (my main having a GTX 260m, and recently I picked up one with a GTX 660m for $200). Anyway, I was wondering about the commonly asked comparison, GT 640 vs the 7750. I've always seen that the 7750 is a lot better, but people always seem to compare the DDR3 640 and the GDDR5 7750, which isn't really fair. I know the 7750 has more GTX-level bandwidth, but still, does anyone know how the FPS compares between the GDDR5 editions of both of these cards? Trying to keep this as low-priced as possible, and also I wasn't totally sure the GT 640 wouldn't perform better than the 7750 with both having GDDR5. The 7750 only increases the GPU price about $60, but keep in mind this is a minimally priced rig. Please don't tell me that for $20 the 7750 is alot better (assuming it is), but just FPS comparisons if they exist (particularly FPS for the GT 640 GDDR5). Sorry for the wall of text, and thanks!
