Cpu strange clocks

Hello there I have some strange clocks on my cpu or am just not understanding windows 8

the cpu it should work at max 3.5 ghz but it shows me it works at 3.7ghz isent that really strange ? or its something else I am noticing ?

I do not have Auto Overclock on or am doing something wrong coz OC genie is off on my MSI mpower max but still I get these strange clocks

It doesn't, most the time you'l stay at 3.5, and the turbo is carefully chosen by intel to make sure it's not going to be too much in any situation. But it won't hurt your cpu at all, cpu's since way back during the core 2 era have had turbo core tech.

but What I wonder why would it need more than 3.5 when am just running a game like guild wars 2 . its not something to get that High clocks to run it.
my old quad core 2.3 could run it with no problems.
why would it do that ? =/

It does not Endager my CPU right ? am worried coz its not cheap and it took me a while to gother the money to get such kind of setup
if it does not Endager my CPU by any means then I don't really mind .

it's built in, intel designed it to help, they wouldnt have released it with that option otherwise. Basically think of it like a turbo on a car, it doesnt spool until hard acceleration or needs to go uphill, now think of your computer everyday browsing is fine, then when you need to load the pvp map on GW2 it kicks in to help.
