MSI Z87 MPower Debug Code 10?

I was working on a new build using a Z87 MPower MB. When I went to do a test boot before mounting it in the case and the first time I power it on it seems to reboot right away and then stays powered on with the debug code 10. It starts flashing between 10 and what looks like 08, but it flashes so fast I cannot tell. Does anyone know what those codes mean? I can't find code 10 in my manual.

Thanks!
Zed

Just RMA the motherboard then, I've only seen about 2 processors being the cause of errors over the course of 15 years that I've been working with them. 99.9% of the time it's the motherboard. Just take a picture of the pins and everything else before you send it to them rma and follow their process of returning your motherboard. Msi normally takes about 2-3 weeks from my past experiences with them. If you have any other questions just contact me through a private message, thanks

Yes, I have the 24 pin and both 8 pin CPU power connectors plugged in. At this point I only have 1 stick of RAM in it and I know that works, the PSU, the CPU, and CPU fan. I have tried all kinds of RAM configurations and nothing changes. I tried it with a video card and with the integrated GPU. From what I have found researching online it appears this code could mean I have an issue with the CPU. I removed the CPU fan and checked the pins on the CPU socket and everything looked alright. Is it most likely a bad CPU? Anything else someone could think of or recommend I try?

I don't have another 1150 CPU or motherboard, so I have no way of checking either of those with parts from another system.

do you have a test power supply to rule out a missing leg on the power supply. check the mb look at the bios rev and your cpu see if the mb post with your cpu. if you have local store like micro center or one you got the parts from have them check out to see if it the cpu or mb issue.

I have a PSU in another system that I am going to try tomorrow just to rule that out. I ordered the parts from New Egg and I live in a very rural area, so there is no local store to visit. I would have to do an RMA.

I took a PSU out on one of my other systems this morning and tried it and still having the same issue. At this point I have tried two different types of memory out of two systems and my new PSU and one out of another working system, so I think I can eliminate either of those as being the issue. That leaves we with it either being the motherboard or the CPU. I do not have another 1150 CPU or motherboard, so I have no way of trouble shooting this further that I know of. I don't have any local shops I can visit, so I need to do an RMA and get a replacement.

Anyone else have a similar issue? Does this seem more likely to be a CPU or motherboard issue?

Those are the lists for all compatible power supply's for your processor from your vendors. Looks like your corsair is compatible though, debug code 08-10 is the north bridge power initialization. Try re installing your heat sink, not an aftermarket one for the meantime but the stock one provided, with only your power umbilical plugged into the header.

I just took off the Noctua aftermarket cooler and put on the stock one that came with the CPU. I used the Corsair PSU and it is still doing the same thing. I power it on and then it turns off and then it comes right back on and starts flashing the debug code 10 and then back and forth between 10 and 08.

I am having a similar issue. I recently bought an MSI Z87 XPower MB, i7-4770K 3.5 GHZ processor, Corsair H100i and a Corsair 1200i. When I power up my computer I get a debug error code 03. I have both the 24 pin and 8 pin connectors plugged in. Do I have to RMA the MB or is there another solution?

use one stick of ram and the onboard video...make sure you use the mb standoffs and 8 pin pci power is plugged in.
on the case header cables unlugged the reset one in case the reset button is bad or stuck on. unplug the case fans and usb ports to rule out a dead short.

I unplugged the case fans, usb headers, etc. and I still get the same code. I even tried switching over to the other 8-pin power connector on the board. I did however see error code 10 flash right before it reset. I think that maybe there might be something wrong with the MB.
