I usually use Chrome or Firefox for my web browsing needs, but i'm trying to setup a video camera system where i can view it from my PC. Sadly i'm FORCED to use IE due active/x and some other mumbo jumbo telling me that i have to use IE.

I load up IE and it goes to a www.t.msn.com page (i dont recall ever setting it as my home page tbh) and is essentially frozen into place as its constantly refreshing (the circle thingie keeps spinning round and round forever). Nothing i do will make it stop. Cant scroll, press the X button to stop the page, AND its hogging up mad resources (up to 80% computing power!).

I've used my IE before and its always working as normal, now its acting all crazy..... crap it's acting like a mad dog virus....

FF and Chrome works normally though.

Solution
go to control panel, and internet options. in the advanced tab, hit "reset" internet explorer. this will put everything back to defaults and get you up and running, as long as IE isnt broken.
