Hi all. I recently upgraded my system and got an ASUS Z87-A board. Basically, the problem is strange and is not constant, it's intermittent. Sometimes when I boot from my Windows 7 DVD and get into the setup (select language, keyboard, etc.) I find my mouse and keyboard are off so I can't select any options, forcing me to restart my system and reload the Win7 DVD again. Then it works fine and all is ok but from time to time, it just happens again! I already updated my BIOS to the latest ver. (1405) but it made no difference, I still get this problem. So would this be a problem with my board and needs replacement or is it considered a general problem with these boards and I need to live with it? Thanks.

My specs:

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 (x64)
MB: ASUS Z87-A
CPU: Intel Core i7-4770k @ 4.5Ghz/1.275v
GPU: 2GB Gigabyte NVIDIA GTX 670 Windforce 3x @ stock speed/voltage
RAM: 16GB (4x4GB) Corsair XMS3 @1600Mhz, 9-9-9-24, 1.65v (CMX8GX3M2A1600C9)
Soundcard: Creative Soundblaster Recon3D Professional PCIe
PSU: Corsair HX850 V2

Hi, a really basic but somewhat potential solution could be to just use a different mouse and keyboard but if the problem consists contact the manufacturer. BTW ASUS are great with their return policies and helplines so you'll have no problem there. Hope this helps, Heisenberg.
