Hi all!
I recently bought new gpu, this mode XFX 7790 Core Edition 1 GBl:
http://www.amazon.com/XFX-Radeon-128-Bit-Graphics-FX-779A-ZNJ4/dp/B00C5917LA
(did not buy it on Amazon, local shop)
I noticed it occasionally causes sort of screen flickering, like parts of screen do not get rendered, and i see only white/gray boxes in chessboard pattern. (it is not monitor problem, fraps would not capture it if it was, and I see it on both monitors).
It is sitting on ASRock A790GXH/128M
OCZ StealthXStream OCZ500SXS 500W
Phenom 2 940
Only possible incompatibility that I am aware of is that I have PCIex 2.0 and 3.0 is recommended for that card, but from what I know it should not be problem.

There is no definite way to repeat it, it occures for example in browser, games...
Accidentally I found that it occurs fairly often when I scroll on opengameart.org when there are 144 images rendered. (it occurs on other sites randomly too).
Also one observation which may not be correct: sometimes when browsing and scrolling down fast, that chessboard pattern is only rendered in part where image is supposed to be (and like 10 or so pixels around it).
I tried 13.4 drivers, currently on 13.9
When installing 13.9 I got BSOD, (caused by some ati_***.dll, no not remeber which one). Rebooted, windows was running in "no video driver mode", uninstalled all amd drivers, installed new 13.9, restated and driver was loaded. Flickering was still present.
Temperature is fine, 41/42 C when idle, highest I saw it was 61 when I tried mining bitcoin/litecoin.
(Just for benchamarking purpose, it is not profitable)
Is this some "known" issue that can be fixed with relative ease or I should just return piece and let them fix it/get me new gpu?
EDIT1: Oh yeah, I am running win7 x64
