I'm building a cheap gaming rig using my old GTX 550 TI. I want the smallest possible case that will hold it.
The hardware I'm looking at using is:
AP-MFATX40 400W Mini ITX
Foxconn H61S LGA 1155
I3-2100 CPU
GTX 550 TI GPU
8GB DDR3 1333 RAM
7200 500GB HDD
regular sized cdvd drive

Any extra opinions as to what I should/shouldn't use for the build are welcomed.

Go micro atx. Those cases are always the same volume as the mini ITx while costing less and providing room for SLI.

FYI this is my case:

Everyone who sees it comments on how small it is, and it even fits into many suit cases. Plus as a bonus it is cheap!!! :)

Can it use ATX power supplies? If so, I may not need to buy anything but the case lol

Bitfenix Prodigy and the Fractal Node 304 came to mind when I saw the title, might want to check them out.
Both support ATX PSU's, though the Node wont support an optical drive.

It accepts everything standard! That beastly build in my signature is in that case! It has great airflow!
