Crysis 3 20 frames

Hi all,

I've seen videos on youtube for crysis 3 with the same build as mine and they got 40 ~ 50 frames. My settings are set on ultra. The frame drops are heavily seen in the first start of the game at the raining part.
I use windows 7 64 bit
Intel Core ™ i7-3770K
ASRock Z77 Extreme4
Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR3 1600MHz
Asus GeForce GTX 770 DirectCU II OC 2GB
Corsair Hydro H80i
Samsung SSD 840 Series 120GB

  1. Check your temperatures. Also if they are normal update /reinstall drivers. Also what resolution are u trying to run the game at?
  2. What is your resolution, what AA settings are used and what video did you get this info from?

Look at these scores with a 770:

  3. make sure the mb bios has all of it updates and you installed the newest intel chipset. make sure on your bios xmp profile is on. some mb have mvp software or people use mvp software to bond the ipgpu and the gpu together for some games.

For your reference I had half of my settings for Crysis 3 on ultra with a few on very high and I think it was 2 or 4xAA (I don't remember which type). It ran at 60fps with dips to the 40's.

If I had put everything to ultra including max AA then I would get dips into the 20's. I lowered my settings a little bit to make sure I had stable frames, while still looking gorgeous.

Oh, I also enabled adaptive vsync through nvidia contr0l panel.

You may want to check out the tweakguide for Crysis 3. It will help you decide what settings to lower a bit while still maintaining great visual quality.
