I have GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-USB3 Motherboard, it has PCIe X16 2.0/1 .
The Graphic Card I chose is Radeon HD 7790, which has PCIe X16 3.0 .

I wanted to ask, whether this will be compatible?
If yes, then How much effect on the performance is visible in gaming, 3D movies, Full HD movies?

If not, please suggest a good graphic card within the same range as that of Radeon HD 7790 1GB GDDR5 for PCIe X16 2.0 compatibility.

THanks in advance.

This is completely compatible. PCI-E is backwards compatible. You won't see any hit on performance at all.

But, technically there exist some difference with the speed of 2.0 slot and 3.0 slot.

How can you assure that there wont be any drop in performance?

Thanks for the quick reply. :-)

Technically, yes. But you would probably never notice the difference. The PCI-3.0 performance increase is negligible over 2.0 for most setups in most scenarios (real life only 5-7% gains).
