MSI P67A-C43 (B3) BIOS Flash Failed - Need help fixing

Hi there!

I recently acquired an MSI P67A-C43 (B3) motherboard, and I wanted to flash the BIOS from 1.1 to 5.X. I downloaded the easy executable file which is needed to be stored on a USB drive, placed it on there, and plugged it into the computer. This update is needed to allow for an Ivy Bridge CPU to be used. During the installation, you're not allowed to remove the USB drive while it's restarting several times to update the ME firmware: all files here(bottom one): http://us.msi.com/product/mb/P67A-C43--B3-.html#/?div=BIOS

Anyway, I was away from the screen when it flashed the whole "time to reboot a whole bunch, don't remove the USB" thing, so I didn't know. I saw it rebooting a lot, and got scared. So I turned it completely off, removed the USB, and now when I turn it on, it's in an endless boot loop that doesn't POST. I know the BIOS flash failed, but what can I do to fix it?! Help, please!

  1. Hi,
Try connecting again the USB drive (FAT formatted) to an USB 2.0 port and starting the board. See if recovering. If no go, save on the drive a different BIOS version and test again.
