Will a Corsair VS550 550W work fine on GTX 760?

As the Corsair official website stated that the VS series is produced for building a home or office system with lower power demands. So I'm worrying that it wont give at least what the card requires minimum.

Do you already on that power supply, the VS550?

An EVGA 760 SC requires 30amps on the 12v rail, and the VS 550 has 42 amps on the 12v rail. That power supply meets well above the graphic card requirements.

550watts is more than enough for that system, I don't think I'd use that power supply for a gaming system though.

well i don't go overclock cuz i'm not familiar with that so i'd choose something that is already stable, but I don't want like my fps below 50. except the gpu, i don't have much components that drain so much power, so i think 550w is enough for me i guess.

i play assassin's creed iv, batman arkham origins, watch dogs etc.

And, where was I wrong? Sure looks correct to me what I wrote.

I'm not sure what you're capable of buying in terms of hardware in Malaysia, but try to find a Seasonic power supply if capable.

I'm okay if you show me something in dollar. I'll search my way out eventually. =D

Something from XFX, PC Power & Cooling Silencer, and Seasonic in the 500-600 range should be good for you.

Examples:

SeaSonic G Series SSR-550RM

XFX Core Edition PRO550W (P1-550S-XXB9)

CORSAIR RM Series RM550 550W

Rosewill CAPSTONE-550-M 550W

Avoid anything from Corsairs lowest budget line, anything else Corsair should be good.

If you're in Malaysia, I can help you. I've imported a few thing for my PC from Malaysia, because its cheaper for me.

I'm familiar with the prices too. Just give me your budget and I'll recommend something for you.

hmm, how about some good PSU in 550W to 650W range lower than RM 220 (220 MYR). i know that doesn't sound easy match but that's my budget =p
where are you from? why do you think that pc hardware in Malaysia is cheaper? pc hardware in Malaysia is mostly imported though.

I live in Mauritius. I have someone that can bring things for me from Malaysia. Some things are around the same price, but others are much cheaper, like CPUs and motherboards.

Anyway, at RM220 is difficult to find a quality unit. There is the Silverstone Strider Essential 500W at around RM220-230. I don't remember seeing any Corsair CX series. Not sure if it is available. Both are good for a basic gaming system.

Both are reliable units. If you can step up your budget, you'll find the Seasonic S12II 620W for around RM300. That's a unit that will last you.

If the Silverstone Strider Essential 500W is really what you recommand me, I found one at RM188.

Will the Silverstone Strider Essential 500W be just fine for a GTX 760? Because I've read so many people suggest that it would be better to go slightly greater than 500W.

Since I couldn't find any 550W PSU from Silverstone expect Silverstone Strider Gold 550W 80 PLUS GOLD which I couldn't afford it, so is Corsair VS 550W good to go? or is CX500 a good choice?

I thought the VS-series is even lower quality. I may be wrong, but it won't hurt to do some research first.
