Okay so I am quite confused on which Video card to choose....I guess the best way to help you all find an answer for me is if I explain everything.

I will be buying 1 card at the beginning and 5-6 months later down the year I will buy the 2nd card to put in SLI.

My Questions are this....
1) If I choose this Video Card - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130943 Would it be ok to put 2 in SLI (Would the cards get really hot?)

2) Also if I was to choose that card, would it be possible to remove the aftermarket cooling system that comes with these video cards and put on a waterblock and backplate?

Solution

1) Yes you could easily SLI them without worrying about temps as long as you have decent airflow in your case...

2) You would have to check if it is a reference PCB and then check the different GPU waterblock vendors to see if they make compatible waterblocks for it whether it is reference or not.
