Speakers working on only some devices?

i have a F&D soundbar 800....it is usb powered and 3.5mm for sound input...used to work fun on all devices laptop ipad mp3 player etc...now the speakers work only on the laptop and emit no sound when 3.5mm jack is plugged into the ipad or a mobile phone/...weird case bt need help!!

its usb powered. are you using the same source of power to test the devices? once you have a working scenario... use that device for the power source (ie your laptop) and then test the other devices.

you say the 3.5mm cord is the same you used with the soundbar and laptop? you say that this same cord also used to work perfectly with your other devices as well?

check the 3.5mm ports on those devices (plug in headphones) as well as the volume/eq settings to see if everything is ok (ie not at 0%, mute or with strange eq settings). if you dont get sound perhaps its the port... if you do then i'm not sure.

you are trying to use it with a portable device while it is plugged in to a power source (usb) i hope? if not then that sounds...

But it still is working perfectly with the laptop....if the cords damaged it shouldnt be working with any of the devices
