1st off, I am NOT going to Hackintosh a home-built.

Here are my options:

2.6ghz quad core i7 (3rd gen) with integrated HD Graphics 4000
Add 16gb of ram (ddr3 1600mhz)
standard hdd (5400rpm 1tb)

(this may change to a haswell soon, so I might have to change this comparison)
OR

i7 4820K
Gigabyte GA-X79-UP X79 mobo
Patriot Viper 3 16GB 1600mhz
1tb 7200rpm hdd
GeForce GTX 760
And of course win. 7

Now, the PC build is slightly cheaper (because I am buying monitor, midi keyboard, printer, etc. with my purchase.), however the mac uses OSX.

This is a COMPLETE re-do of my "office" and I want to know.

Should I go all out/all custom and make a Win. PC that I know will dominate all games? Or should I get the Mac mini that will run parallels do moderately well at gaming.

(please take the fact that the new minis will probly get Iris graphics into consideration)

IDK what 2 do?

The Mac Mini uses an Intel mobile processor. It's essentially the equivalent of laptop hardware in a small desktop form factor. In no way shape or form will it compare to an i7-4820K and a dedicated GTX 760. What is this going to be used for besides gaming? X79 would not be the way to go if this were only a gaming rig.

I know it doesn't compare, but do you think that skipping all of the crap Windows seems to dole out to me and just going with OSX would worth the decrease in gaming performance?

And BTW, the mini would also be getting an SSD.

There's definitely been a lot of debate about that on this forum. You could definitely setup a Hackintosh build but I have no clue how to go about doing that.
