Best LGA 1150 ATX Z87 motherboard

Of those two I'd say the Sabertooth, but would strongly suggest the Asus Maximus Hero, that's the one I decided on after many Haswell builds, great mobo, $200....MSI I won't touch for client builds, poor QC and support

That's why I picked the Hero, did about 20 builds between Asus, GB and the Rock mobos, Asus seems to have the best handle on the chipset/CPUs for Z87, and of the Asus mobo I built on the Hero was the best, if you want to run SLI/XFire of three or more or have a need for additional SATA or USB then might want to go up....I seldo do a SLI/Xfire w/ 3 or more so for me and as a testbed it's perfect, I have my 4770K at 4.6 and am running 32GB of 2666 Tridents

Nothing wrong with the Sabertooth, just offering a suggestion to save some money, the biggest difference is the looks, and actually the Hero's PCI-E 2 slot runs at 16 vs the Sabertooth at 4, the Hero has the better Audio, and it supports higher freq DRAM, the Sabertooth has the 'TUF' panels which is suppose to provide better cooling

That's a good mobo also, not real pleased with the BIOS and the tuning ability as much as I am with Asus
