I am looking for an SSD for my new build, I am looking for something that is pretty quick but more importantly, it has to be really reliable. I want it to last a long time and not fail randomly etc, also I tend to have power failures in my house, not all the time, but when I have one I want to be prepared. I heard that SSD mess up due to power failures and some SSD's have power failure proof capability's but I don't know any.

Budget 0 - £120
Capacity: 100GB +

SSDs I have considered :

Corsair Force GS
Samsung 840 pro
Crucial M500

Again not so sure on the power failure protection on any of these. So if anyone could help me out on SSD's much appreciated

840 pro is by far the fastest and most reliable. It has a 5 year warranty, which says a lot about its durability.

Also if you have power failures, I suggest you get a UPS, which is essentially a small battery and surge protector. It will let you use your computer if the power goes out.

Great advice! I agree wholeheartedly!

I just installed a Samsung 128 GB 840 Pro on the system in my sig and it is really great!

I have a OCZ-VERTEX 3 that has over 10,000+ hours on it and still running strong no problems have done a firmware update with no problems. It is plenty fast for me and what i use it for. I recommend OCZ SSD drives to anyone. I would also agree the Samsung 840 pro is a very good choice.

I forgot to add that this drive is in my Lenovo T520 laptop.
