Hey, I wanna build a PC for video Editing. I found this guide by Dave Dugdale, and I'm thinking on building my own taking this as a base. I've seen some debate around which CPU I should pick, i7-4770K or i7-4930k, the price is evidently an issue, but I'm willing to invest in it if it's really worth it.
What I've been advise to use on my built is this:

CPU: Intel Core i7-4930K 3.4GHz Hexa-Core Processor ($577.99 @ Amazon)
CPU Cooler: Corsair Hydro Series Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler H80i ($86.99 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: ASUS Sabertooth X79 LGA 2011 Intel X79 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard ($319.99 @ Amazon)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance Blue 16 GB DDR3 SDRAM Dual Channel Memory Kit ($165 @ Amazon)
Storage: SAMSUNG 830 Series 2.5-Inch 128GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-7PC128B/WW ($129.98 @ Amazon)
Storage: TWD Green 2 TB Desktop Hard Drive ($83 @ Amazon)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 770 2GB Video Card ($379.99 @ Amazon)
Case: Thermaltake Commando Mid Tower Case ($64.59 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: Thermaltake PSU TR-600w ($54.99 @ Amazon)
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer ($16.99 @ Newegg)

Total: $1879.51

(The reason I'm using only 16Gb of RAM is because I already have this from a previous built and are still as good as new, maybe in the future I'd change to 32Gb)
If you think there's a way to improve this without over $2.100 please do. I really need some help on this one.

Thanks.

You should be able to pickup a Samsung 840 Pro for the same price and the other changes I would recommend is a better PSU and standard 2GB drives.

Consider the following:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i7-4930K 3.4GHz 6-Core Processor ($579.99 @ Newegg)
CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken X60 98.3 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($99.99 @ Microcenter)
Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth X79 ATX LGA2011 Motherboard ($324.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory ($67.50 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory ($67.50 @ Newegg)
Storage: Samsung 840 Pro Series 128GB 2.5" Solid State Disk ($122.99 @ NCIX US)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($84.98 @ Outlet PC)
Video Card: Asus Radeon HD 7970 3GB Video Card ($268.30 @ Newegg)
Case: Corsair 300R ATX Mid Tower Case ($56.99 @ NCIX US)
Power Supply: XFX ProSeries 850W 80 PLUS Gold Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($109.99 @ NCIX US)
Optical Drive: LG GH24NS95 DVD/CD Writer ($14.98 @ Outlet PC)
Total: $1763.20

Can crossfire the cards at a little over $2000:

PCPartPicker part list

Video Card: Asus Radeon HD 7970 3GB Video Card (2-Way CrossFire) ($268.30 @ Newegg)
Total: $2031.50

Don't mix DRAM sets to save a few dollars, even same exact sets together can be problematic, which is why they make 4 stick sets, the 4 are also tested to play nice, also XMP is programmed by the packaged set, and setting for 2 sticks will differ from four in the advanced timings i.e. 2 sticks may call for a tRFC of 228 and 4 sticks may need 314

Crossfire isn't the best for editing atm.

Only thing I would change from the OP build is the case, I suggest you get this one:

Thanks for your help, I'll make some adjustments to my build. One more question, I chose the GTX 770 cause I read they work great with Adobe Premiere and After Effects, taking advantage of the CUDA technology. Is it really that important or choosing a RADEON will not make a big difference?

Yes it will make a big difference. GTX 760 is great as well.

The 4770K will be great for it, but the 6 Core 4930K is even better,I'm toying with building an X79 for that and a couple other jobs I've been approached about, know my 4770K can handle them, but going to the 6 (possibly 8core, would make things go much faster)

Oh! about that... As I said, I chose that CPU having in mind Dave's. As he says it would really improve render times. But how much do you think is the difference between the two?

Hmm well actually the 4930k will be 50% better for editing. I'd say either one is good, just get the one you can afford.

Will actually prob be more in the vicinity of 20-25% tops, much will depend on the actual CPU you get and vs what individual CPU it might be tested against along with the OC involved and how rig is set, just having the 2 extra cores doesn't improve things by 50%

Well honestly I'm not to sure about this one, Trademan1 can help you. I use a 3770k currently but I haven't used a 4930k. Just going with the reviews I found online so...
