Hey guys I am currently in the process of looking for a motherboard for a Bitfenix Prodigy case. I would like it to support the new series of AMD CPUs like the FX series. But all I have been able to find only supports the A10 series. Are there any good AMD MINI-ITX motherboards you guys would recommend?

thanks man this totally sent me in the right direction. BTW is there any micro atx boards that you would recommend? Its mainly for gaming and I would like for it to be bellow $100. I was looking on newegg and most of the highest rated and selling boards seamed to be below even $70. AMD ofcourse.

heya, check out this ASUS board (micro ATX) and see what you think. I was very close to going with this myself

if you're going with a gaming purpose in mind, depending on the games, you'll probably have to go a little bigger than "tiny" if you see what I mean haha, but that mobo I linked you to is nice. It has a lot of features that were really nice for such a small board and also ASUS makes good mobos. Their customer service is not the greatest but their engineering is great.

My board was an ok ga-z87n. There was nothing faulty in the build (still it isn't) but there are other things i didn't consider before and bother me now such as poor air-flow (my 4670k would reach around 80 C with the intel cooler non-OC under heavy load) and of course you only get one PCIx16 slot meaning you wont be able to SLI if you wanted to. I also had a problem installing a cpu cooler (212 Evo), the fucking thing was 3mm wider than it should be and there was no room for the gpu to fit in so i cut the cooler a little bit in the edge to fit both. The description said compatible with socket 1150 but they failed to include that little detail. I believe the fault was on Gigabyte though, their mini-itx design was bad, sure you wont have such problems with ATX boards where there is a lot of room. If you think there is an advantage building a mini-itx such as a lightweight case or more free room in your desk think again. My Bitfenix prodigy is heavy as fuck and because it is wide it takes more room than your average mid/full tower. Also if you are planing on overclocking (no need to if you have a powerful cpu like i do but oh well) you just can't do it with your mini-itx because there are not enough capacitors.
To sum up: Pros for building mini-itx: none
Cons for building mini-itx: plenty
