not sure where to put this but here goes.

ive been having some problems with my Logitech MX 620 Wireless Laser mouse. sometimes its as though there is a small delay, other times it requires up to 4 mouse clicks on the item to get it to do what is needed. Yet sometimes it will work just fine(rarely)!
for e.g. in notepad just now when typing this up to move the courser to a different section to edit. or right clicking in the browser to use its inbuilt spell check, selecting an option / button / item etc

heres the rub: it does it with every mouse i own! (mostly Logitech i admit).

iv tried moving the receiver away from other usb devices and away from my wifi usb receiver.
ive tried plugging the receiver directly into the pc itself and not a hub (as is suggested).
different mice
different mice requiring different receivers!

all mice work fine on my laptop so im struggling to figure out what is wrong. The pc itself isnt freezing or hanging (not that i can notice anyways) to explain the having to click multiple times problem.

There is a SLIM chance that there is a freezing issue/ problem with the pc, and thus the mouse problem above is related to it. However i do not belive they are related, and i may have solved the issue. ill explain briefly;
Initially i suspected a hardware issue (parts / and what lead me to suspet those mentioned below) however i then read that nvidia drivers with firefox result in on screen freezing and sometimes the old BSOD / restart, so now highly suspect that is the cause for this 'issue'.

Just in case (and for the sake of completion) - i suspected the freezing issue might have been caused by either:
RAM (it reached over a set ammount seemed to happen when it was under load)
gfx card (recent drivers / sw update etc and it happened only ONCE in game)
CPU (due to a mention in the event log file r.e. delay experienced causing reboot at one of the cores / and the system being under load)
(ive always used a ram and cpu meter on my "side bar"so left it there thus when it freezes i got to see the 'readings').
as i said i may have found the cause (i.e. nvidia drivers) but until i use the pc i wont know for sure if the problem is resolved and thus wanted to mention it in case it somehow related to the above mouse problem.

if you want the system spec let me know (its been a while since ive used my desktop so cant type it up from memory accurately).

This is killing me. I think many others had this problem as well, but no real solution so far:

When I click a destination to move in-game, the hand cursor changes to pointer, and the click action is lost. When button is released, the cursor changes back to the hand cursor as if to taunt me. I found that it does not always happen, but happens very frequently (2/3 tries). Anyone find a good solution for this?

Steps towards solution:

I have already posted in p2p support 4 days ago, but no reply. So I'm asking you fine folks.
I have already read the FAQ above, and downloaded 3 other standalone players, but no cigar.
Uninstalled Dofus, reinstalled, still no go.
Cleared cache using Flash plug-in, in-game 'clear cache' button in options, and using IE temp file settings... nothing.
In addition to dofus.exe, I tried dofus.html and loader.swf, but same thing.
Reinstalled flash 8.0.24.0, but same thing.
Adjusted quality from High --> Low, but only made the movie play faster.
Tried another computer (my laptop), it's the same friggin thing! (which makes me wonder how all you other folks are playing this??)
Mouse works fine, and Flash plug-in itself is fine

System specs (relevant ones):

WinXP SP2
Flash 8.0.24.0
IE (although I use standalone flash player)
