It occurred to me while installing the back-plate for my budget CPU cooler that there might be some metal contact with the back of the motherboard. There is some cheap tape on the back-plate, but it's not a perfect cutout and some of the metal is exposed around the edges.
Obviously the solder points on motherboards are exposed, but the circuitry (on mine and all recent ones I have seen) appears to be painted and/or sealed in some way. Is this observation correct?
If anything I'll just wrap the back-plate in some tape, but I'm hoping not to have that frumpy look.
