Hi,
Recently my good Gigabyte GTX260 OC just passed out.
Now i am in a very serious situation.
I have an old PC and i have only updated the graphics card and the power supply. So still stays old.
It has an Asus P5B motherboard, an intel core 2 duo, 5GB of RAM and an 600~850 power supply.
My budget is only at 170 and i have to decide whether to buy a new card or not for a while.
So my choices are GTX 660 or HD 7870. What do you think? and which brands and editions do you propose in order to have the best gaming experience and with a perspective of keeping the card for a future new build?
Thanks!

A 660 might be still out of your budget, for $170 I'd grab a 650 ti Boost (2gb if reasonable) and you should be able to play most games on a lower setting. I've had good luck with and prefer MSI cards.
