Can this setup be future proof enough that I won't upgrade a single component for like, 5 years?

Mother Board:
M5A99FX PRO R2.0
http://www.asus.com/ph/Motherboards/M5A99FX_PRO_R20/#sp...

Processor:
AMD FX 8320 Black Edition (3.5/4.0GHz, 125W, 8MB total dedicated L2 cache, 8MB L3 cache, 5200MHz HyperTransport™ bus, socket AM3+)

GPU:
Galaxy GeForce GTX 760 2 GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 DVI/DVI/HDMI/DP SLI Ready Graphics Card
http://www.amazon.com/Galaxy-GeForce-Express-Graphics-7...

RAM:
Veangeance Pro 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 DRAM 2133MHz C11 Memory Kit
http://www.corsair.com/us/memory-by-product-family/veng...

HDD:
1 Tera Byte

Monitor:
Samsung Simple LED 19” Monitor with Tilt Function

http://www.samsung.com/us/computer/monitors/LS19C150FS/...

It would cost me around 800$

or should I just buy a PS4 which would cost me around 400$

I never had a console before.

Take note: My weekly allowance is around 34$

I'm still a student

Yes i think that would be a smart move (always cheaper to upgrade a computer then to deal with a whole new counsel anyways).

Fact: The new Xbox One runs a AMD 8350 8-core processor with graphics that is probably on par with a 7950 graphics card (which i have) so yes your GTX 760 will be more then enough to surpass the Xbox One and the PS4.

What are you talking about? The Console graphics is impossible to be on par with a 7950... It's running on an APU, which means the CPU and GPU is in the same chip sharing the memory. While the 7950 is its own Graphic Processing Unit. It is impossible at this point to build a APU machine that outperform a High End GPU, otherwise most people would build them, this APU thing isn't new.

They do it because it is cheaper than putting a CPU and a GPU in. The hardware just isn't there to outperform a 7950. I can build a PC for $500 and spec wise outperform a next gen console in every way. However Devs will be more focused on the consoles so the performance will not likely to be on par. However that doesn't mean it will even be close to a 7950 by any means.

You know just for future reference you don't have to be a complete s**thead when you correct people, it will make people very angry with you, if i made a mistake all I need is to be told how and why I made a mistake...I run this setup with a FX-8950 in my machine with an Radeon 7950, and I can play any game that the new xbox one cane already on my PC....please I know my graphics cards, and this will last especially if you end up Crossfiring them, then it will out perfrom any 500 dollars system that you could ever hope to dream of building. Please respect others otherwise you will get your a** handed back to you piece by piece in these forums.

How was I being a complete shithead? Please explain.

Perhaps you can't handle "What are you talking about?" ? I did point out your mistake or my disagreement with your comment in a respectful manner, unlike you I did not begin my reply with shithead...

Now back to graphics cards. You said a HD 7950 is on par with a FX 8350 in the Xbox One. I don't see how that is possible. Once again if you hadn't lost your shit over my non insulting reply to your comment you would've have seen the fact I was talking about the HD 7950 should outperform anything that is on the Xbox one...

Let me repeat I think your system is better than you think it is on your first comment.

Now please, read, before you lose it. Second if you feel you're insulted reply in a respectful manner and I can explain myself if you feel I was being rude.

You don't have to go around calling people names.
