Intel® High Definition Audio 8 channel or ASUS Xonar DG PCI 5.1 Audio Card

I'm building a budget gaming system using a Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 m/b. Is it best to stick with the onboard sound or use the ASUS Xonar DG PCI 5.1 Audio Card with a pair of Roccat Kave 5.1 headphones.

On board sound is so-so, I.m no audiophile, but have the Hero and the 8 channel FX it comes with is far better than the normal mobos out there with realtek or whatever, might want to give thought to the Xonar, have had many client want those
