Cpu comparison question

i know that i3-3220 3.1 GHZ/ 3mb cache is better than...

AMD A4-3320m APU with Radeon 2.0GHZ

but i wana know how much better? i mean there is no compare between both??, will i feel a big diffrence in performance if i bought the i3?

First AMD is APU processor. Google what does it mean.

I would go with an A-8 or A-10 seeing as you are probably looking at laptops judging by that CPU model. AMD has better integrated graphics which are more important in a laptop because that is always what bottlenecks first.

yes that AMD model is on my laptop, but i want something for a PC not a laptop..a processor for gaming..i've tried the AMD on Games like BF3 and it was so slow..So am asking if the i3 would be better..or much better?

Ah, well the i3 would be much better. You should also make sure to get a good graphics card such as the GTX 600 or 700 series or the HD 7000 series to complement it.

Unless I am mistaken, the AMD A4-3320m is a laptop chip and the i3-3220 is a desktop chip.
You would buy an i3-3320 in a desktop, and the amd in a laptop.

The i3-3220 has a passmark cpu rating of 4229
The AMD A4-3320m has a passmark rating of 1174.
