Hi,
I am looking to buy a cpu and mobo to upgrade from my current amd 1045t. I only have a budget of $205 for both. I have a gfx card already.Which should I get?

I3 4330
I5 3350p (though its stretching my budget a lot)

Is the 3350p worth the extra? I also have no plans for over clocking so no k processor. The computer is mainly for FSX which is a extremely heavy single threaded app, and other games like fifa , battlefield and racing sims

Ah, if you can stretch it to about $250, then you should totally go for the $234 build I listed. This Intel build is also pretty great though it's $255. I think this motherboard is a little better suited:
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i5-3350P 3.1GHz Quad-Core Processor ($169.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Pro3 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($85.66 @ Newegg)
Total: $255.65
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts...

[strike]Where do you live? If you're in the US, the i5-3350p is well within your budget, but I'd actually go for the i5-3570. If you're in the US it's $5 overbudget:

If you're in Canada it's $10 overbudget:
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115233

If you're in Australia, then unfortunately it's $37 overbudget:

UPDATE:
Damn, I need to read better -_- You need a motherboard as well, sorry. If you only have a budget of $205 (and live in the US) then I suggest you go an AMD build. Here's a great combo:
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor ($119.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: ASRock 970 EXTREME4 ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($89.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $179.98
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here's a good look at the FX-6300 vs the i5-3350P:
http://www.cpu-world.com/Compare/438/AMD_FX-Series_FX-6300_vs_Intel_Core_i5_i5-3350P.html
Strangely, it doesn't mention anything about single threaded performance comparison even though I'm almost positive that Intel should blow AMD away when it comes to single-threaded apps.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

However, if you really want Intel for super heavy single threaded, this is great but $30 overbudget, though the Motherboard is pretty good considering its price as well:
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i5-3350P 3.1GHz Quad-Core Processor ($169.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: ASRock H77M Micro ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($64.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $234.98
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

I would go with the i5 3350p. It's a great value because it doesn't have integrated graphics yet it performs close to the upper i5 CPUs. It's also a true quad core as opposed to the i3 which is hyperthreaded to appear to have 4 cores but actually only has 2.

Hi,
I live in none of those countries but I'll be ordering either from amazon us or newegg us. Also I meant its $205 for both the mobo and CPU. But I suppose I can stretch it to $250 for both
