SO I have taken my laptop in for repair and 500 bucks and a new video card (same model but new) the problem is reoccuring. Basically my videocard is artifacting all over the place (gray lines, black pixel boxes and then my laptop freezes/ crashes). I have an Asus notebook G73Jh, running intel core i7 chip, windows 7 64 bit . It's all stock except I upgraded the ram to 8 gigs.
The IT guys replaced the videocard and it still kept artifacting and they said they couldn't figure it out b/c they couldn't get it to do it. I also have a laptop cooling platform with fans that this laptop sits on. Problem is I'm only playing WOW and the errors start almost immediately. I repair the game everytime it does this and I'm running the most up to date ATI drivers downloaded through the ATI catalyst. Is it over heating? Not enough power? ALthough why would that be the case since it came from Asus like this?
