+12V is too high at 15v

hey guys i'm getting alert message from Asus probe that my +12V value is at 15V and i also checked BIOS and it also give me same value plz help me on this question that i have,
1)what is +12V exactly ???
2) how this +12v=15V is affect my system??
3) how can fix this problem??

Yes, that is bad. There may be a little fluctuation in the 12v rail but 15v is way to much. Running it that high for an extended period of time can damage other system components, To fix this you need to replace the power supply.

What is the make and model of the PSU?
ATX specs are 12 volt +/-5% or 11.4-12.6volt.

Are you overclocking the CPU?

If you are OC'ing then put it back to stock clocks and see if the problem still occurs.

If the problem still occurs then try a different/better power supply unit.

Definitely try to tell us which model of PSU are you using. You can check with multimeter to be sure, 15 V is way off.

and one more thing i want to ask that i'm Connected through the UPS then why PSU problem occur ??

The problem is not with the power going to the power supply its the power coming from it that's the problem. Using a UPS doesn't guarantee hat the PSU wont fail or have problems.
