Acer laptop won't boot up

Hi there my acer was running fine this morning. Laptop was closed and Di heard a screeching sound coming from laptop. I forced a shut down now compitor won't load. I turn it on and acer logo comes on. Then half the acer logo disappears. And says press f2to enter set up. Did this nothing works it's like its frozen. I Can hear the fans running but nothing I do works took out battery, did alt f 10
Don't know what to do?

If the computer temperature increased then the fan disrupted, if not increased, the problem will be in Windows do a format for it
A third possibility is that the hard drive crashes and we hope not just check the perv things and that's all
