540 reads/520 writes is blazing fast. There aren't many faster, what are you comparing to? Generally speaking, read speeds are faster than write speeds.

Samsung Pro/EVO are the top tier SSDs right now. The Kingston drives are nice, only 3 year warranty though (compared to 5 years with Samsung/Intel and a couple others).

TigerDirect has a deal on Samsung 840 EVO 250GB, same price $179: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=8466637&SRCCODE=WEBGOOPA&cm_mmc_o=mH4CjC7BBTkwCjCV1-CjCE&gclid=CNOwg4Df8bkCFUlp7Aod1BQAQw

EDIT: same EVO, cheaper here at $165: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300977665611

It seems weaker with reads? I'm not really sure what the whole read and write thing is, but I have seen some places Read over write? And also Access drive?

The kingston 555 Read and 510 writes.

I have a Kingston HyperX 240GB SSD on my second comp and it is seriously fast.

I just installed a SanDisk Ultra Plus 256GB SSD on a new build for a friend. Updated the firmware before installing windows and it is blazing fast too. I was impressed. Got it on sale for $149.99, tax free and free shipping.

Updating the firmware was a snap too! Shop around and you can find some good deals on SSD's now.

So what you're saying is, reliability over speed?
