I saw the recent "$350 budget PC" article that was posted a couple of days ago. Based on that, and the fact that I was about to pull the trigger on a $400 lenova PC I saw on slickdeals, I decided to see what I could do myself. I am on the tightest of budgets($500 maximum), and I based my build on the comments section in addition to the article.

It is essentially the same build as in the article, except an Athlon X4 750k and HD7750 instead of the AMU and DVD reader+OS.

Motherboard MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 Micro ATX FM2 $56.00
Memory Kingston Blu Red Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 $48.96
Storage Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM $59.98
Video Card MSI Radeon HD 7750 2GB $49.99
Case DIYPC FM08-W MicroATX Mid Tower $31.98
Power Supply Antec 450W ATX12V $37.98
Optical Drive LG GH24NS95 DVD/CD Writer Combo or $19.99
Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit) $90.88
Total: $468.74(including MIR)
I am almost a complete noob when it comes to building. I've built 1 system before, and it went ok, but it basically needed a professional to come in after me to fix the whole SSD/HDD thing, which I apparently didn't do so great at. Since I don't have a SSD this time around, I think I'll be ok.
Do you have any recommendations on components I can change/pick better ones and still stay under budget?
Thanks!
