I will be looking to crossfire when my rig can no longer handle games, I currently have a HIS Radeon 7950 IceQx2, but that card is discontinued, so I was wondering if I would be able to crossfire with any other 7950, such as this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Also are there any realy problems with crossfire, and what will the performance of dual 7950's be like. Also how does overclocking work with crossfire. Thanks in advance for any help.

You can crossfire with any model 7950 or even a 7970. The only issues would be whether your motherboard supports crossfire and if your PSU can handle the load.

Depending on the age of your PSU, you may or may not be able to run two cards on that PSU. You can potentially undervolt the 7950s until you pickup a new PSU.

You should be fine, just wont have much overclock headroom.

You should be around 450-500 on peak load if you have your CPU overclocked (up to 550ish if it is an AMD build).

No benefit either, you are better off getting a higher quality gold or platinum rated psu.

You should be fine with the 600W model that you have with light overclocking.

is the HIS IceQ 7950 with the blower style fan a good option on account of me crossfiring? It blows most of its air out of the case

You would be better served going with the following:

PowerColor PCS+ AX7950

Alright and also my current OC is 1150 Core Clock and 1500 Memory Clock. Is that good and that won't be an issue as far as necessary power will it?
