Is uninstalling current drivers optional in the process of updating a video card? I've been looking around for a while now and everywhere i go it's always mixed reviews here and there. It's very misleading and confusing....

Usually, it's not necessary to uninstall drivers first, but it doesn't hurt to do so and it does help prevent any potential conflicts.

In most cases you just update the video drivers and you don't need to uninstall the previous ones. However in some cases if you are having driver issues it helps to uninstall your previous drivers before installing new ones.

Hope this helps!

I'm not having any driver issues. So i dont have to then? Also, do you use AMD? Because i was going to update to the new 13.9 WHQL driver, which AMD recommends my video card (HD 7850).
