Hi there
I am trying to fix my sister's laptop as she desperately needs to use the media functions on her computer. What happens is that while running any media (exp. Music, iTunes, Netflix, movies and you tube) it will play for about a minute with an occasional buzz sound but then the whole thing will freeze and buzz while playing. It will eventually subside but it takes a while. I have tried nearly everything system restore, making more space on the hard drive, cleaning the fan, running codec fixers and doing manual checks as to try and find out what is going on but It still is happening and I have no idea how to fix it. The warranty is run out so that is also not an option. From looking at other forums I am thinking it is something to do with the codecs but I would need another opinion.
My specs are:
ASUS K42F Series
Intel i3-370M
Intel graphics Media Accelerator HD
500GB HDD
4GB Memory
I am not an expert so if anything is pretty complicated you might have to walk me through it
