Weird Circle Whilst Gaming?

I recently built a gaming system, and whenever I play League of Legends or Eve Online, a really weird red and black circle appears in my screen. Typically the circle is in the lower middle of the screen and is translucent, but once it was opaque and in the very center of my screen. I can't click on the circle or move it around, it just sits there.
So far, it only appears on those two games because I only have have them downloaded at the moment (save for TES1 Arena). It disappears when I quit the game, and in the case of League, it only appears in the game itself, not the menu/launcher window.

The color scheme of the circle leads me to believe that it's from my motherboard, but I couldn't find any options that seemed related. Also, all of my drivers seem to be up to date.

I've looked through Windows 8, but couldn't find any options that seemed related.

My system specs are:
cpu: Intel i5 4670k
gpu: EVGA GTX 770 4GB
mobo: Asus Maximus VI Hero
psu: Corsair HX 750
hdd: WD Caviar Black 1tb
case: Cooler Master CM Storm Trooper
optical drive: Asus ASUS 24X DVD Burner
cpu cooler: Corsair H100i
ram: Corsair Vengeance LP 8gb
OS: Windows 8 OEM

Sorry for the bad quality images, I have not yet figured out how to take screenshots in-game, I was a dedicated mac user up until about wednessday.

If anyone knows what it is, or why it's appearing, I'd love to know. Thanks!

i'm not sure what you mean.

do you mean the circle which sort of looks like a clock face? i'm not familiar with LOL... but google image shows that its something to do with heimerdinger so its game related.

if you mean the rectangle glowing box on the right.... it looks like a reflection to me.

there is a circle looking glowing area on the bottom right corner of this rectangle but this also looks like reflection.

please specify... if you could circle up the area in paint that would be great.

---

actually it would be extremely helpful if you printscreen an in game shot. if it appears then its being rendered by the gpu... if its not there then its something wrong with the cable, port or monitor most likely. remember you need to view...

before i say anything more ... please clarify for us what you are talking about.

I mean the clock looking red, white, and black/gray dial type image in the pictures. In the third image, it is on top of Heimerdinger's image, in the 1st and second images, it is directly above the skill bar with the plus symbols and health and energy bars. i will print screen as soon as I finish my homework. Thanks for the reply.

It looks like a 'Sonar' from one of Asus's products. I was reading about it the other day. It's basically a 'Sonar' that shows game sounds (Like explosions etc.) and team member positions. It's for FPS games. Give me some time to find what it is called and how to disable it.

*Edit* Seems me and ssddx were thinking the same thing :)

actually i was reading the manual for his motherboard... and was thinking about special features and thought... hmm... lets type "rog circle appears" in google and i saw a few threads and read them. lo and behold this was the thing. odd how the creative thought process works sometimes.

generally i dont install all of the so called extra features unless i need them. i just stick to drivers & needed tools

Again, much appreciated!
