Wireless adapter problems

I built a new pc a couple of days ago and everything works fine except for the wireless adapter. It IS slotted in correctly and has the screw in to make sure it stays in. The Power light doesnt even turn on. It doesnt show up in internet adapters on windows either. I have installed drivers too. Any help would be great.

Adapter: Encore ENEWI-1XN42 802.11b/g/n PCI-Express x1

on some asus mb the last short pci slot can be turned on or off in the bios. if your card in the last slot check in the bios to see if the slot turned on or off. check with the mb guild to see if the slot your using is shared with sata or video cards. make sure the mb chipset drivers were installed so all the mb chipsets are working.
