i have a motherboard that has intel graphics and 3 slots for monitors and a nvidia graphics card that has 4 slots will i be able to have a max of 7 graphics cards?

It is generally a better idea to run them all off the graphics card. So I would say 4 at most. What is your card?

i have a gtx 770 and for the onboard graphics its intell with a i7 4770k

I would only recommend using the 4 off the 770, the motherboard video is sub par, non gaming, and cant be used in Nvidia Surround.

The more monitors you add the less that will be, the 770 is leaps and bounds more powerful. Also HL2 is by no means hard to run.
