Best Motherboard for an FX-8350?

Does anyone have an 8350 system and know whats the best motherboard for under $100? Iv'e been having bad luck with boards lately, the VRM on my GA-990FXA-UD3 Rev1.1 overheats because of the design and I have to send back my new Asus M5A97 Rev2.0 because no power goes to the CPU or GPU.

I think I did, the CPU didn't heat up at all when powered on and I didn't get any video from my GPU either.

Well if everything was connected right most likely you just got unlucky and got DOA board, it happens.

But I was able to get it to boot to the bios a couple of times and start installing windows before it would either bluescreen or loose signal to my monitor, does that usually happen with DOA boards?

No but could point to something else faulty like ram and so on.
