AMD Radeon HD 6630M not recognized by CCC

Reformatted from factory settings on a VPCCB17FX... laptop is about ~2-3 years old but up until this year it was running absolutely every game PERFECTLY.

All settings on high including shadows with 50-60 fps.

Games included: WoW, Dota2, L4D2.

I reformatted my laptop and reinstalled the drivers/windows updates/etc... load the games and they are choppy, game will freeze for 1-2 seconds in big fights/high graphics situations, and loading screens are slower than typical (usually 2-3 seconds, now about ~10 sec).

When I run catalyst control center I receive an error: AMD graphics card is not recognized or installed; however, AMD Radeon 6630M is installed properly and functioning based off Device Manager. When I select the graphics cards in a game's video settings it only gives me "Intel R HD Family Graphics" as an option - amd radeon is not even listed.

My battery setting is set to High Performance as well. No idea what is going on.

I downloaded amd beta center and uninstalled all AMD files, restarted, installed amd center and still nothing. I also uninstalled the graphics card, restarted, and reinstalled based on this file:

Honestly, this laptop is primarily used for gaming... nothing else. I don't download/torrent movies/music, etc. Trying to keep this sony vaio last forever.
