Hey guys,
so i want a new pc seeing as I'm currently stuck with a mac book pro. So far these are all the items that i have decided i want to buy. I am missing a power supply and a graphics card. i would have loved to keep the price below $1500 australian dollars but it doesnt seem like i can get it below without making a few minor changes.

Any suggestions to get the price down are greatly appreciated and a suggestion for both the graphics card and the power supply aswell.

I was thinking a 7950 for the graphics card and an antec power supply http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=15_535&products_id=19330

P.S this build is primarily for gaming, I wouldnt mind playing the newer crysis and battlefield games with atleast 60 fps and lots of smaller indie games with no problems

Solution
If you want to cut back and save money then you could get a non K cpu and H77 mobo. Also, your mouse is really high end. You could find good ones for half the price.

Get a 760 if it fits the budget.
Definitely stick with the K model processor if you plan on keeping the CPU for a long while because the overclocking headroom is HUGE and the performance potential that you get far outweighs the benefits of saving a few dollars today. The K model is very much worth it unless you know for a fact that you will never overclock. If you want to save money but still have a nice computing experience then go with AMD's FX 6300. AMD is the way to go if you're on a tight budget whether you're talking about CPU's or GPU's.

Will i be missing out on a few fps and are they both as reliable as their intel counterpart?

If it comes down to you not being able to get the graphics card you want because the CPU costs too much then you want to cut back on the CPU some and get that graphics card that you want. The FX 6300 and FX 8320 are fine for gaming but generally the Core i5 3570K is a little bit better in some games. One thing I will say for sure is that I would take an FX 6300 and HD 7950 any day over a Core i5 3570K and an HD 7850. If you have to settle for a slower graphics card you're going to end up losing way more FPS than you might lose due to a slower CPU. But if you can get the GPU you want regardless of the CPU then definitely go for the Core i5 3570K. Anything faster isn't very worthwhile as far as gaming goes so it is the fastest CPU that I would seriously consider buying for a gaming rig.

The difference between an overclocked fx-8320 and i5-3570k is probably...3570k performs at 5% higher fps. However, you would save at least $50usd on a 8320 compared to a 3570k. That $50 could get you a better GPU and that will make the fx-8320 outperform. Spending more $$ on a GPU will help you more than spending more $$ on CPU.
