I have a Dell Inspiron 15R SE. I have a problem where my fan is always at full speed, even when the laptop is not really that hot, and it even has a cooler.
I downloaded a software called SpeedFan and it showed me that out of the 4 cores, only one of them was 51 degrees with a little fire icon next to it. The rest were around 40.
This happens even when CPU usage is at like 2% and I'm running just firefox. That one core is always above or around 50 degrees and the fan will not stop and it's really annoying.
Any ideas on how to get the fan to slow down? I'm on windows 8.1
