Hello everyone, I'm looking to be getting a new computer this winter hopefully. I am a full time student in college with one of my degree's being Design/Drafting Engineering. So I am constantly do a lot of computer drafting. I would love to be able to have a laptop so I can take to school and continue on my work before and after classes instead of being stuck waiting to get home to get on a desktop. So the idea of a laptop is very ideal. Once I graduate, I would like to be able to use this laptop to take with me on the job back and fourth. Knowingly I couldn't with a desktop.

I also do a lot of video editing as a hobby. It's not just cut, splice, and add a song kind of editing. So it's more on the serious side when it comes to it. I currently can't, due to just not having a decent computer! I am not really a dedicated PC gamer, though I do enjoy it when I have some free time.

So here's my question. Knowing that portability is pretty much the key factor yet I'd like to stay under $2200ish dollars. Will something like the MSI gs70 Stealth suit all of my needs? I know the same specs built in a tower would be much better and faster. But for things like AutoCAD, Sony Vegas Pro 12, Solid Works, Inventor, etc, and occasional light gaming, fill my needs without the laptop struggling to do so? For those of you who are not familiar with the new MSI gs70, here are the specs.. I know it will handle AutoCAD and similar programs fine, I'm just really wondering if it will spaz out under heavy video editing?

The laptop will suit your needs just fine! It's got enough power to run game on medium-high maybe even ultra on some. When it comes to video editing, it will go through the render easily as well.
