Gtx 680 SC Stuttering i need help to fix this problem

My Gtx 680 SC was likely new on amazon and i bought and i was excited. My friend told me about MSI afterbunner that helps cool ur gpu but i accedently put core clock all the way to maximum and my monitor froze and so i had to turn it off i was worried that i broke my gpu but everything seems fine. Its been 2 month since i have this gpu. It was working fine and no problems but one day new update came out and i download it and now i get stuttering on bf3, black ops 2 zombie, and minecraft on max setting..

i update all the driver including gtx 680 and when i play battle field 3 i get lot of stuttering but my fps doesn't drop down when it stutters.

i don't think putting core clock to maximum broke my gpu because i heard that the gpu card stops working but it turns on fine

does it stutter on vsync? might just be screen tearing.

What are your full system specs? There's a motley of things that can cause stuttering besides the obvious of GPU.

Cpu Is Intel core i5-4670k Haswell For temperature i get 40-47C in idle
Motherboard asus z87a
Psu 750 watt
10 gb of ram

40-50c in idle is not a good sign. During gaming the Cpu may be over heating...

On another note, did you perform a clean install of the latest nvidia WHQL drivers?

i noticed cpu was 90c when i was playing call of duty zombie i think the fan is the problem

for 5 month i been playing 90 c i think.... but i didn't see any sign of lag untill now. Do you think i burned my cpu?

That's hot... and probably is the problem. I'd remove the heatsink, clean it , reapply thermal paste and reseat the heatsink.

If you're OC'd, return to stock.

It's not going to burn. If it gets too hot it'll throttle and you'll experience stutter.
