I purchased an HP Pavilion P71423W. It has I5 Dual processor 8 GB mem, 1TB HDD & beats audio. The only problem is the graphics. Does the display make it work that much better. Bought HP d2a13-60001. It was fairly cheap! Any suggestions to help speed up and add quality to graphics. Only test that changes this machine from a 7.8 down to 4.5

Graphics would be used only to play games. Your integrated graphics are good enough for other task besides games and other graphic intensive things. If you are not planning to, no need. If you are, your computer has a PCI-e x16 slot meaning that you can add a graphics card, which will allow you to play games at higher settings and run them.

just be care full when you upgrade your gpu that your power supply can handle the wattage.

There's no chance that your power supply will handle a video card. I used to work at Tiger Direct and I know that the "brand-in-a-box" machines are built with the cheapest parts they can find. If you have integrated graphics, I would be surprised to see anything more powerful than 300W.
