Hi guys I am planing to replace my current HDD with WD10EZEX but today one of my friends says due to 4k advance format on hard disk he could not install window 7 could not format disk or installed OS. Please advise if the WD10EZEX is compatible with window 7.....i am using intel i5-2500k and intel dh67cl motherboard

Should work just fine. I have not used that drive persay as I have not installed or used anything smaller than 3tb for quite some time but even at that I see no problem with getting a 1tb drive working on Windows 7. I can't say what the exact problem your friend was really having but Windows 7 should not have any problems with that drive what so ever.

Yes, I was thinking the same thing that, why would manufacturer build such drive that will not support the main OS like window 7....but we had found some reviews where people complaint about the similar kind of issues and then we found in Wiki " Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, and Windows Server 2008 R2 support 512e format drives with certain hotfixes installed (but not 4Kn)" so I am now totally confused and not able to decide.
