Im not familiar at all with AMD processors or motherboards.

Im looking for something that will be used on a Freenas machine running Freenas 9. its purpose will be to be the destination for backups of the 2 other machines I have.

Currently im using an atom processor and I think its just not able to keep up.

Im looking at AMD to keep costs down. The lower the better.

it will have to be a mini itx board.

I already have the case, hard drives, and 8gb ram. just looking to change the mobo and processor.

I found this, not sure if its decent. I also dont know which processor to pair it with.

any input on which mini itx mobo to use as well as which processor to use.

im still open to intel based mobos and processor. the lower the price would be better. roughly around 100 for the mobo and maybe around 100 for the processor too.

Thank You

That is an fm2 board designed to be used with the apu line of cpu's (cpu's with built in graphics cards) although there are a few designed without the onboard gpu on the cpu. Athlon X4 750K shown here http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-cpu-review-overclock,3106-2.html would be fine if you plan to use a discrete gpu. But if not you will need to get a cpu with it onboard to use the fm2 board. Or you can go with an am3+ board and get a newer fx series cpu. depends solely on what you plan to do with it and what type of gpu you need or want.
