Will My Build Cut It, Or Is It Overkill?

I have a budget of $2000 to build a new MMORPG/FPS gaming rig, all I need is the case & internals. Here's what I'm looking for an opinion/reccomendation on:

MSI Z87-G65 Gaming
i7 4770K
8GB 1600 DDR3 RAM (I heard you don't need more than 8GB for gaming)
Nvidia GTX 760 or 770 (I want to run full settings @ 1920x1080 on a single 23" widescreen)
850w PSU

Thanks for your time & input.

Solution
Switch to an i5 CPU, there's no gaming advantage in an i7.
Unless you're going SLI/CF in the future a 600Watt PSU from a good maker like Antec, Corsair, Seasonic, Silverstone, OCZ, XFX or the later Rosewill Capstone series will be plenty, even for an overclocked system.
Now you should be able to go for a GTX770 and still stay under budget ;).

I had heard that there wasn't much need for the i7's hyperthreading as yet, but figured maybe I was being proactive in case it became an issue later on. LOL

Only 600w?

Always nice to save money to spend on better kit. ;-)

Some might say the PSU is weak, but it (will be) plenty, even for an overclocked system, like I said, unless you're going SLI later there's no need for more.
Really, unless you're using Hyperthreading enabled software on a professional/semi professional basis the time saved and performance gained is really too small to be worth the buy in price, particularly when the price differential can exceed the cost of a usefully large SSD or, in this case push the graphics up a notch.

Yeah, the price difference here is about $155, so that coin will definitely be better used put towards the GPU, or a decent SSD to use as an OS drive.

Thanks muchly.
